Governing Bodies

UNADE’s Governing Bodies are organized on the basis of their mission, vision and values, as well as their institutional principles and objectives, circumstances that will be taken into account with regard to professors, students and staff, in respect of the personal rights of each individual.

UNADE’s governance is made up of:

  • Collegiate Bodies:
    1. Higher Council. The highest authority of UNADE, among whom are the President and the Secretary General.
    2. Governing Board: Chaired by the Rector, the Secretary General, Vice-Rectors, the Manager, and the representatives of students and professors.
  • Authorities:
    1. President of the Governing Council, responsible for executing the agreements.
    2. Rector, dedicated to the excellence of educational quality.
    3. Manager, who oversees the operation of the governing bodies.
    4. Secretary General, responsible for the minutes of meetings and the processes.
    5. Vice-Rector of Departments, responsible for academic affairs.
    6. Vice-Rector of Admissions, responsible for the admission process.
    7. Vice-Rectorate of Telecommunications.
    8. Vice-Rector of Inter-Institutional Relations.
    9. Vice-Rector of Research and Development.

Likewise, the Vice-Rector of Departments coordinates:

  • The training department and the heads of the areas of knowledge.
  • The Professors department.
  • The Students department.
  • The Student Records department.

The Governing Board

The powers of the Governing Board range from disciplinary matters, the admission and continuation of students, collaboration policies and the academic calendar, to resolving conflicts between centers or university services.

It is also responsible for studying and reviewing the official postgraduate programs and professional degrees. As well as defining departments and degree programs, staff selection and promotion systems, the creation and elimination of university services or establishing the criteria for their evaluation, the budget and any other power assigned to it.

The Governing Board usually operates as a standing committee. It is made up of the Rector, the Vice-Rectors, the Secretary, the Manager and the representatives of students and professors. In addition to those summoned in each case depending on the matter being dealt with.
