Plan de Estudios

The proposed Doctorate in Projects program has a curricular structure based on four formative phases.

 Phase 1. Advising

In this initial phase, the program is coordinated between the student and the assigned advisor. With the advisor’s guidance, the student will prepare a proposed outline of the doctoral dissertation. The academic structure of the doctoral program requires the development of a work plan, which must be designed during this phase. This plan should include a detailed timeline of the research activities to be undertaken and must align with the academic framework of the program.

  • Purpose: To provide guidance in defining the dissertation topic, objectives, hypotheses, and methodology

Phase 2. Coursework

During the second phase, students complete a series of online courses designed according to their prior academic background and the subject of their dissertation. In this stage, doctoral candidates are required to take courses relevant to their chosen research topic. The first course is compulsory, while two additional courses must be selected based on the candidate’s specific line of research. The following section provides a description of the academic and research activities.

  • Purpose: To acquire the knowledge and competencies necessary to develop solutions that contribute to human, scientific, and technological advancement within the candidate’s line of research.

Phase 3. Research

In this third phase, the student, with the support of the Dissertation Director, carries out research activities leading to the development of the dissertation project. The advisor will assist the student in completing academic tasks related to the research work, as well as in the preparation, review, and advancement of the dissertation, and, when appropriate, in the prospective publication of a research article. The advisor is also responsible for monitoring the student’s academic progress and ensuring compliance with the minimum requirements established for the timely and proper completion of the doctoral dissertation.

  • Purpose: To develop the doctoral dissertation project.

Phase 4. Dissertation Writing

In this final phase, under the supervision of the Dissertation Director, the student will write the completed research, including the analysis and results obtained.

  • Purpose: To write the doctoral dissertation
